Become a Hays House Volunteer! If you are fascinated by history, old buildings, and period clothing, and you want to be part of something special in Harford County, consider becoming a Hays House volunteer. Our volunteers serve the Hay House Museum in many essential capacities. We always welcome new docents (tour guides) and anyone who can help with public relations, event planning, hands-on history, gardening, old-fashioned housekeeping, our junior docent program, fund raising, maintenance, and more (there’s always more!). Whether you want to volunteer a little or a lot, we would love to talk with you about all the opportunities that are available. Call 410-838-7691 and ask to speak with the Hays House Chair, or complete our INFORMATION REQUEST FORM . ![]() Volunteers can get valuable hands-on experience with antique and vintage clothing.
