* Dr. William Stump Forwood, M.D. (1830-1892) was founder of
the Harford Medical Society and
President and Trustee of the Darlington Academy as well as
being the first President and a founding member
of the Historical Society of Harford County, Inc. He studied medicine at the
University of Pennsylvania and practiced in Darlington.
