This appears to be a typical blacksmith shop
that shoed horses, and repaired
wagons, carriages, and wheels. Since the photograph was donated by Mr. F. Joseph Stokes,
it is believed to be near Stokes' Mill, now Wilsons Mill, Deer Creek,
and Harmony Church. Photographer and date are not known.
Enlargement of area to the left of the door in
above photograph. There appears to be horseshoe size objects on a horizontal bar
and an apparent face on the top poster. Photographer and date are not known.
A ride in the buggy. Betty Stuart Wilkinson Egli Collection. Photographer and date are not known.
Music along the canal. (The people appear to be in a canal boat.)
